Policy Recommendations from Seniors and Community Stakeholders

This brief combines the recommendations from interviews / focus groups consisting of 28 seniors (age 55+) living in Hamilton and 37 community stakeholders working in Hamilton.  These two groups provided their thoughts and suggestions on how to reduce social isolation among seniors. The recommendations, grouped into five areas, touch upon access to services, building community awareness, investing in services, developing transportation option and providing sustainable funding.
